Our approa ach is intersecttional in that it explores the co onnections am mong race/ethn nicity, class, ge ender, sexualityy and other hies. WEST em mphasizes cultu ural responsive eness, critical and a cross-disciiplinary thinking, creative and d innovative tea aching, hierarch commun nity engageme ent, and local and global awarreness. We aim m to create an equitable and sustainable w world by analyziing structural inequalitty from historic cal and cultural perspectives, and explore practical p strateg gies for change e.
